Background

Jeffrey S. Herman was born and raised just outside of Detroit, Michigan.  Before moving to San Diego, he earned a Bachelor of Arts (cum laude) from the University of Michigan in 2008.  He then obtained his Juris Doctor degree from California Western School of Law in 2011.  During law school, he received an Academic Achievement Award in legal research, and was an active member of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society, where he held the position of Executive Board Treasurer for two years.  Jeffrey also completed a judicial externship with the Honorable John J. McDonald at the Sixth Circuit Court in Pontiac, Michigan. 

In the Spring of 2009, Jeffrey studied international comparative law at L-Universitá tá Malta in Msida, Malta, where he assisted African refugees who were seeking political asylum in Europe.  He was admitted to the California State Bar in December of 2011, and the Arizona State Bar in July of 2016.

Jeffrey joined Blumenthal Nordrehaug Bhowmik De Blouw LLP after working for a nationwide defense firm, where his practice focused on environmental and employment law.  He now represents individuals and large classes of employees in wage and hour class actions.
